SAN DIEGO is California's second largest city situated alongside more than 70 miles of pristine beaches and bordered by Mexico, the Pacific Ocean, the Anza-Borrego Desert and the Laguna Mountains.  This city offers a gentle, warm, sunny climate and boasts a population of nearly 1.3 million residents. Within the 4,200 sq. mile area San Diego is also known for its popular attractions for all age groups, such as the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Sea World San Diego and LEGOLAND. Visitors and residents also enjoy downtown San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, and Coronado Island. Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the U.S., and home to 15 museums, numerous art galleries and gardens, plus the San Diego Zoo.
