PHOENIX RADIO SCHOOL

PHOENIX, Arizona is thirteen on the
DMA list and this city is one of the fastest growing in the country.
Myths tell us that a phoenix is a mythical bird with beautiful gold and
red plumage. At the end of its life, it builds a nest of cinnamon twigs
that it then ignites. Both the nest and bird burn and are reduced to
ashes. From the ashes a new, young phoenix arises.
Three major mountains buttress Phoenix, providing tons of views along
with outdoor sports activities from hiking, to biking and
climbing. The Sonoran Desert is a great place to play, and it is
one of the most ecologically diverse deserts in the world. With seven
large lakes within an easy drive of the city, there is also plentiful
water sports activities, and let’s not forget ballooning.
Famous people from Phoenix include musicians and singers Alice Cooper,
Tanya Tucker and Stevie Nicks, among others. Steve Allen spent a
year here as a radio disc jockey before his career as a comedian took
off, and Linda Carter best known for her TV role as Wonder Woman is
