PHILADELPHIA RADIO SCHOOL

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA is the 7th largest ADI in the
United States. The city sports a NFL team (Eagles), a MLB team
(Phillies), a NBA team (76ers) and a hockey team (Flyers).
Philadelphia has a highly competitive radio market. Stations WMMR
and WYSP exemplify this competition which has been steadfast despite
major format changes from both stations with WMMR owning the top
morning drive time show for the last three years—The Preston and Steve
Show. Other top radio stations include Philadelphia's four
urban stations WUSL , WPHI, WDAS and WRNB and WJJZ, the city's smooth
jazz station.
RADIO CONNECTION Radio School is ideal for opening doors in
Philadelphia’s dynamic radio scene. With our connections, the
student wishing to break into radio will find themselves working at
their favorite Philadelphia radio station within days of
applying. As their mentor/apprentice curriculum advances, the
student will receive the benefit of weeks of in-station, hands-on
supervision, under the direct supervision of their mentor, a radio
professional working at station. Upon graduation MASA Students
have both the job experience and the personal connections they need to
get hired in the Philadelphia radio market. In fact, more often
than not, RADIO CONNECTION students receive job offers from their
mentors, or other radio contacts made while studying, prior to
graduation.
RADIO CONNECTION’s Mentor Apprentice Programs have
been placing radio school graduates in radio and announcing positions
for over two decades.
